POUROVER TEA

Briefed with the objective of creating a sensorial experience for preparing or drinking tea by drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese tea cermonies, Pourover Tea looks at tea in the context of the modern cafe.

Immediately drawn to the performance aspects involved in the tea ceremony. A connection was made with the barista performance, particularly in the preparation of pour over coffee.

The project aims to increase the ritual surrounding the often disregarded act of ordering tea in a coffee focused environment.
